Introducing Z-Day Diaries — A Post-Apocalyptic Mockumentary Created by THP Students!

This summer, the amazing teens (ranging from ages 11 to 15) of THP Students’ Film School took on a unique creative challenge: to produce a hilarious and heartwarming post-apocalyptic series in the style of The Office. The result? Z-Day Diaries, a four, a part mockumentary that follows a group of survivors trapped in a bunker after the world’s gone sideways, with zombies, awkward interviews, and a powerful message about love, acceptance, and seeing beyond fear.

Episode 1: Garret Is Definitely a Zombie

Meet Garret, the most suspicious survivor in the bunker — or is he? As tensions rise and paranoia sets in, the crew begins to question who among them can be trusted. This episode sets the stage with awkward interviews and quirky humor as you try to figure out: is Garret really one of the undead?

Episode 2: Why Are They Running From Us?

The bunker’s mistrust deepens when one survivor takes drastic measures. Meanwhile, the story takes a curious turn as we glimpse the zombies beyond the bunker walls, revealing there’s more to them than anyone expected. Secrets and misunderstandings build tension as the crew’s world starts to shift.

Episode 3: Zombody to Love

In this turning point episode, Garret is finally cleared, but not everyone is who they appear to be. When the truth about the real zombie is revealed, the bunker crew must confront their fears and learn what it really means to love and trust, even in the most bizarre circumstances.

Episode 4 (Epilogue): Live, Laugh, and Chad

Wrapping up the series in podcast-style, the survivors and newly-recovered zombies come together to reflect on their time in the bunker. They share what they’ve learned about love, acceptance, and forgiveness—and have some fun rating Chad, the unexpected wildcard who thought he was on a reality dating show instead of a zombie apocalypse.

Z-Day Diaries is more than just a comedy about zombies, it’s a creative project from THP Students that reminds us all: love has the power to break down walls, even in the most unlikely places.
