Fast Names, Funny Ducks, and Big Missions

Tonight at THP Students was full of fun, laughs, and some great lessons as we got ready for Hero Academy! We started off with two games that were not only super fun but also reminded us about who we are and how we work together.

Game One: Draw a Duck

Everyone got a sticky note and a pen. The challenge? Draw a duck in one minute. After time was up, we stuck all the ducks on the board. Then each person shared their duck’s name and something silly or “quacky” about it.

The point of the game?
All the ducks were different, some were funny, some were weird, some barely looked like ducks at all, but they were all still ducks. Just like us! We’re all different in our own ways, but we’re part of the same group. God made us all unique, but we’re all His children, working together for the same mission. This is our flock!

Game Two: Quick Names

Next, we stood in a big circle. One person started a timer, and we went around the circle saying our own names as fast as we could. Then we tried it again, this time saying the name of the person to our right.

What we learned:
We all have a job to do, but we can’t do it alone. We must work together and give each other space to do our part. And when we started saying each other’s names instead of our own, it reminded us that it’s not just about “me,” it’s about us. We need to care about the people around us and help each other out.

After the games, we spent time talking about Hero Academy and getting ready for what’s coming. Tonight was more than just fun; it showed us how important it is to stick together, be ourselves, and support one another as we do what God has called us to do.

We’ve got big things ahead. Let’s go, THP Students!
